Commons Collective Consciousness – The Education.
I have been thinking about how I see the appearance of an increase in the use of the spiritual as a possible way in which the global community can recover and evolve beyond the virus crisis.
As a someone who trained as a teacher, I also began to think about the basic approach education might take in bringing forth the spiritual as an embodied response to the uncertainty that will arrive once the conflict is over.
Part of my own spiritual journey has brought me to become much more interested in the generative mechanisms that under labour for non-duality. It’s for this reason that I follow a critical realism/metaReality philosophical approach to the ontology nature of non-duality and its expression as a commons collective consciousness.
From a philosophical realism position, the virus is not seen as leading to the possible great wakening; as some have augured, it’s the offering of the emergence possibility of the individual and the collective recognising that there are aspect of our present capitalist social system that have prevented a further evolutional pull to a more inclusive and commons based way of living.
It is only through allowing the emergence of the new commons social structure can we live through and beyond crises that are maintained by the ideology that we are separate and only live to make individual profit.
Now whether this emergence property is an inherent aspect of humanity at an ontological level and will only emerge given the right conditions, or if there is a higher intelligence showing a more inclusive and liberating way of being, I am not sure it matters.
What matters to me, and is of a greater importance is, as Marx said, that the free development of each as a condition of the free development of all.
The present world problem(s), may offer the opportunity to meet Marx proposal, and yet at the same time, there are rudimental human issues that will need to be addressed, such as poverty, hunger, free health care, intolerance, fair governance, greed, and a stable ecological system.
Therefore, if we are to begin the opening up of the new world view, we would have to begin with the causal requirement or the objects of learning, of an educational programme which would have to be realised as an embodied impact on the action of the building of the structures of the social commons.
The educational programme would need to have at its heart a multi-dimensional view of spirituality, in which no one view of spirituality is the whole view. This would be needed to avoid the Joseph Smith approach, in that the new way of being was written by someone who was having divine assistance.
We would also need to understand that we are not all the same; we have different rhythms and mediations. So any educational programme would have to be offered in such a way as to be inclusive.
Some, who are now closer to the understanding of a commons collective consciousness, might arrive sooner at an understanding then those with less contact to commons collective consciousness.
Others might need more support in arriving at an understanding or feel for the commons collective consciousness. In this way, and to ensure that the learning curriculum does not become reductionist, a one size fits all, the programme will only become liberating, as each learner is able to see the power of the learning as a structural consistency of freedom at their version of reality, under laboured by the social and structural requirements of non-duality as an expression of the commons collective consciousness.
We might say that once we are beyond the crisis things will not be the same. Although, I guess, no-thing is ever the same, as it is said one cannot step into the same river twice.
What I think will happen during and after the world crisis is more people will realise that there is only constant change, no-thing remains the same, which will bring more people closer to anxiety, fear and uncertainty, yet as Spiral Dynamics might offer, the only way out of the gamma trap of uncertainty is to either go back to what we know or reach out into the unknown, to embrace the chaos of fear and anxiety. I believe that we cannot go back, that there is no alternative but to embrace the chaos as constant change.
As I have said elsewhere:
In the gap, as close as you can get to emergence, is the one thing you are told to ignore and be afraid of. The one thing that is the Radically Real rhythm of the pulse, the liberation tri-force of creative, creation, and destruction, known as Chaos.
It is then, as we step into the gap, that the knowers of commons collective consciousness will have a very important responsibility to bring forth a new knowing, which will lay the foundation of a new way of being.
My caution is: commons collective consciousness is real, it has an actual embodiment, but we can come to know the embodiment differently, and further we have a unique judgement on it.
The challenge for commons collective consciousness knowers, when they get together to plan the new world commons curriculum, is to agree that commons collective consciousness is real and that the actual embodiment is and will be always different, but the difference is not the real.
The difference is just a unique way of coming to know the real.
